Prof. Maurice Okoth, the former Vice-Chancellors at Kenya Methodist University (KeMU) and founding patron of Association of Academic Registrars of Universities in Kenya (AARUK), delivers a presentation on “The Role of Academic Registrars in Implementing KNQA Guidelines and the KNQF” during a capacity building workshop hosted by the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) at Eseriani Resort, Naivasha.
The workshop convenes registrars from Qualifications Awarding Bodies (QABs)—including universities, national polytechnics, and professional examination bodies—as well as representatives from the industrial training and basic education sectors.
Its objective is to strengthen stakeholder capacity and deepen understanding of critical instruments in Kenya’s qualifications ecosystem: the Kenya National Qualifications Framework (KNQF), Classification Standard (KNQCS), Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (KCATS), National Qualifications Database (NQD), and the Qualifications Alignment and Validation (QAV) process.
