In a bid to strengthen the adoption of digital solutions for the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA), through its Master Trainer, Ms. Dianarose Nasipwoni, facilitated a four-day hands-on training session with members of Sigalagala National Polytechnic. The training focused on the use of the RPL Management Information System (RPL MIS), equipping the institution with the skills required to transition from manual processes to a fully digitized RPL framework. This shift is expected to enhance efficiency, transparency, and learner management.
The initiative underscores KNQA’s commitment to supporting institutions in embracing digital transformation as a cornerstone of quality education and skills recognition.
Key institutional leaders were present during the sessions, including the Deputy Principal and RPL Master Trainer, Madam Anne Mutsami; the RPL Coordinator, Mr. Aggrey Chanzu; and the ICT Manager, Madam Faith Khasoha. They reaffirmed the institution’s readiness to integrate the RPL MIS into its operations and set a benchmark for other Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
