The Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) participated in the IGAD Regional Learning Forum on the Implementation of the Kampala Declaration on Jobs, Livelihoods, and Self-Reliance, held last week.
The Authority was represented by Mr. James Onyango, Deputy Director, who joined policymakers, technical experts, and partners from the IGAD region to share experiences and best practices aimed at advancing economic inclusion and self-reliance for refugees, returnees, and host communities.
KNQA’s participation reflects Kenya’s commitment to strengthening skills development, recognition of prior learning (RPL), and qualifications mobility—key enablers of decent work, sustainable livelihoods, and regional integration in line with the goals of the Kampala Declaration and Agenda 2063.
