Earlier today, Dr.Alice Kande-Gakio, CEO of KNQA, participated as a panelist at the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Changamka Festival. She led a discussion on strategies for skills development, upskilling, and reskilling the industrial workforce, joined by Eng. Wabwire Simiyu Director of the Kenya Industry Training Institute, and other industry representatives.
Dr. Kande emphasized the importance of the Kenya National Qualifications Framework (KNQF) in standardizing education and training, facilitating the mobility and transfer of skills nationally and internationally. She also clarified that skills and knowledge transcend specific KNQF sub frameworks, encompassing all levels and pathways of the framework.
