Peter Veracity Aming’a is the Deputy Director of Human Resource Management and Development at the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA), where he provides strategic leadership in the development and implementation of human resource policies, systems, and practices that support the Authority’s mandate. A seasoned Human Resource professional with over 13 years of experience, he has successfully advised executive leadership and managed human resource functions across the public service, international non-governmental organizations, and mission-driven institutions operating in Africa.
Mr. Aming’a is a Certified Human Resource Professional of Kenya (CHRP-K) and a practicing member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM). He holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from Mount Kenya University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Science from Egerton University. He has further strengthened his leadership capabilities through the Strategic Leadership Development Programme at the Kenya School of Government.
At KNQA, he oversees strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, payroll administration, employee relations, staff welfare, learning and development, and organizational development. He plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with public service regulations, labour laws, and government human resource policies while fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Throughout his career, Mr. Aming’a has successfully established and transformed HR functions, led organizational change initiatives, developed human resource policies and compensation frameworks, strengthened safeguarding and compliance systems, and provided strategic advisory support to executive leadership. His broad expertise in people management, organizational development, and strategic leadership continues to drive workforce excellence and institutional effectiveness, positioning KNQA to deliver on its mandate through a motivated, skilled, and future-ready workforce.
