Earlier this week, the CEO of the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) Dr. Alice Kande joined key stakeholders in the TVET sector to strengthen collaboration and enhance the quality and relevance of technical and vocational training in Kenya.

The Principal Secretary for the State Department for TVET, Dr. Esther Thaara Muoria presided over the opening of the Quarterly Meeting for TVET Principals and Quality Assurance Bodies held at The Kiambu National Polytechnic.

The two-day engagement brought together TVET institutional heads, Regional Directors, and officials from the Ministry of Education to review sectoral progress, exchange best practices, and align training programmes with Kenya’s development agenda.

Other organizations represented include KSTVET, TVET CDACC and TVETA, reaffirming the agencies’ shared commitment to quality assurance, standardization, and transforming TVET into a key driver of socio-economic growth and national competitiveness.
