The Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) today hosted a high-level delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini, led by Ms. Nanikie Mnisi, Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Education. The team, comprising senior officials from the Eswatini Qualifications Authority (EQA) and related ministries, is in Kenya for a benchmarking mission on education and training systems.
The KNQA team made comprehensive presentations on the Authority’s establishment, mandate, and governance structure, as well as on key initiatives such as the Kenya National Qualifications Framework (KNQF), the National Qualifications Database (NQD), and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). The discussions focused on enhancing quality assurance, promoting transparency, and improving recognition and mobility of qualifications.
The delegation also paid a courtesy call to the State Department for TVET, where they were received by Secretary Administration Joyce Mwale on behalf of the Principal Secretary, alongside other senior officials.
This engagement underscores the shared commitment between Kenya and Eswatini to strengthen collaboration in education and training, align qualifications frameworks, and advance mutual recognition of skills across Africa.
